The Atlanta Conference of Sisters is composed of about 160 women religious

archdiocese of Atlanta. The sisters minister primarily in the fields of health
care, education, pastoral and social services. They sponsor institutions, such
as St. Joseph Hospital and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Home in Atlanta and St.
Mary's Hospital in Athens; serve in prayer ministry at Visitation Monastery;
work in positions in the Catholic Church and in public and non-profit
organizations; and offer direct spiritual and professional services.
The Conference is a supportive group for the sisters, providing programs for
spiritual, personal and ministerial growth. It provides representation for the
sisters on committees, boards and councils in the archdiocese of Atlanta and
facilitates communication with the archbishop, clergy and laity within the
Catholic Church and with other groups.
