Donnellan Center Dedicated

The Archbishop Thomas A. Donnellan Center was officially dedicated Sunday, Oct. 25 as parents, faculty and friends of St. Pius X High School looked on.

Principal Donald Sasso welcomed guests to the Atlanta campus and Father Richard Lopez offered an invocation. Father Don Kenny, representing Archbishop James P. Lyke, OFM, blessed the building, which serves as an adjunct athletic facility and contains the school's alumni and development offices.

"The Donnellan Center will provide St. Pius with much needed, improved office, work and conference areas for our expanding development and alumni programs," Sasso said of the new space, which was ready for use at the beginning of this school year.

"The center's athletic facilities provide greatly needed space and state-of-the-art laundry and weight training areas for male and female student athletes and physical education students," he added.

Honored guests for the occasion included former St. Pius X principals Father Terry young, Father James Sexstone and Father Richard Kieran, and former assistant principals Sister Dawn Gear, GNSH, and Sister Rita Raffaele, GNSH.
