Six Priests Appointed Deans For Three-Year Terms

Appointment of deans for the six regions of the Archdiocese of Atlanta has been announced by Archbishop Thomas A. Donnellan. These appointments are effective Jan. 1, 1987 for a term of three years.

The priests in each deanery are asked to submit their recommendations for the post to the chancellor of the archdiocese. When their replies are received they are compiled and presented to the archbishop for final selection.

The deans, or vicar foranes (V.F.), are: Father Thomas J. Carroll, M.S., V.F., pastor of the Church of St. Ann in Marietta, Northwest Metro Deanery. Father Carroll has accepted the appointment for a second term.
