Saint Joseph’s Hospital recently appointed Sister M. Michelle Carroll, R.S.M. to head up a new administrative division at the 100-yr.-old institution. The Apostolic Effectiveness Division will seek to insure that the Sisters of Mercy’s mission is achieved through hospital practices.

Operating responsibilities of the new division include general hospital services which deal directly with patients and their families. The Auxiliary, social services, patient advocate, visitor information services and Hospice are a part of her responsibility. In addition, Sister Michelle consults with other administrative areas to assure that the philosophy and values of the Sisters of Mercy are actualized.
