Good Shepherd Gets Papal Portrait

His Holiness Pope John Paul II has taken up a permanent residence in Cumming’s Church of the Good Shepherd - at least a beautiful hand painted oil portrait of His Holiness has.

The portrait, which comes from Ymaan Art Galleries of Atlanta, found its new home in Cumming through the efforts of Mrs. Emil Knab; one of the original members and founders of The Church of Good Shepherd.

Father Allan M. Dillman, pastor of Good Shepherd and the mission Church of the Prince of Peace in Buford, was delighted with the new addition for his church.

When he saw the hand painted oil portrait he remarked, “This a gorgeous likeness of Pope John Paul II, and it will certainly be a cherished possession in our congregation.”
