What I Have Seen and Heard - Archbishop Gregory's Weekly Column

Print Issue: September 28, 1978

Focus: Television Mass

They brought you Officer Don for years and their Fourth of July parade couples Peachtree with Hollywood stars and famous personalities. They are part and parcel of Atlanta with its growth in entertainment, sports and complete news overage.

Now, they also bring you the Television Mass. With the expertise of their technicians and the artistic eye of their directors, the Mass is celebrated each month. Into thousands of homes and into lives shut away from Sunday Mass, WSB Television becomes an oasis of liturgical prayer for Georgians from one end of the state to the other.

Our Magazine salutes White Columns this week as they celebrate their 30th anniversary. In the magical field of televised programming, they are a leader -- growing not so much older, but better as the years progress.

The Catholic Mass is seen on the first Sunday of each month at 10:30 a.m. on Channel 2. And that, as everyone knows, is WSB -- Welcome South Brother (and Sister)!
