What I Have Seen and Heard - Archbishop Gregory's Weekly Column

Print Issue: December 9, 1971

Three Schools Accredited

Three elementary schools of the archdiocese have been granted official accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The schools are Immaculate Heart of Mary, Our Lady of the Assumption, and Sts. Peter and Paul.

These were the only Catholic school in the region to be awarded accreditation at last week's annual meeting of the Southern Association in Miami Beach. Joining Christ the King School, which was accredited last year, they bring to four the total number of fully accredited Catholic schools in Atlanta.

All 15 elementary schools of the archdiocese meet the minimum standards of the Southern Association, and all are engaged in planned programs for improvement.
