Cancer Home Gets Gift From Knights

State Deputy Barnard J. Mulherin of Augusta presented a check in the amount of $5,220 to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Free Cancer Home of Atlanta at a dinner dance held July 24.

Southwest Atlanta Council 4420 hosted the affair for Knights of Columbus from over Georgia at their council home on Tell Road.

Accepting the check was Sister Cortis, Superior at the Cancer Home.

She thanked all Knights in Georgia for their generosity in their charity drives. The check this year was the net proceeds of the Annual Charity Drive by the Knights from the two dioceses of Atlanta and Savannah and is the largest amount donated by the Georgia State Councils.

Also present from the Cancer Home was Rev. Patrick Connell, Chaplain, and Sister Mary Christopher.

Guests included state and district officers from over the state.
