Lindskoog To Oversee NCCJ

Reverend James A. Lindskoog has been named the new executive director of the Georgia Region of the National Conference of Christians and Jews to succeed the late Dr. A. Wilson Cheek, who died in March.

Lindskoog, a 28-year-old native of Chicago, Illinois, has been working in Atlanta since 1967. Prior to accepting the NCCJ directorship, he was the assistant director of the Atlanta Community Relations Commission. He is also an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ.

Rev. Lindskoog's educational background includes a B.A. degree in Philosophy from North Park College in Chicago, and a graduate degree in theology and social ethics from the Chicago Theological Seminary.

Among former professional activities, Lindskoog has served as a counselor and researcher in the educational problems of delinquent adolescents. He also served in the Migrant Ministry Program of the National Council of Churches. In Chicago, he served as a youth worker on Chicago's West Side.

Lindskoog is married to the former Patricia Lugn, and they are expecting their first child in August.
