Sr. Rosemary Going To Peru

After 13 years of dedicated service to the Archdiocese of Atlanta, Sister Rosemary Cauley, G.N.S.H., will leave for a new assignment in Lima, Peru.

Sister has taught in the parochial schools at Christ the King and Immaculate Heart of Mary. For the past several years she has been director of religious education in the Cathedral.

On Sunday, May 3 at 4 p.m., a departure ceremony will be held at Christ the King Cathedral. Mass will be offered and following Mass a reception will be held in the assembly room of the Cathedral center to honor Sister Rosemary. Donations for Sisters’ work in South America may be brought to the reception.

The mission school where Sister Rosemary has been assigned to teach religion has twelve hundred children. It is located in the Barriadas (the hill country). The school day is divided into two sessions. In the morning the children who can afford to pay to come to the school and the afternoon session for the poor children. There are three sisters assigned to this mission.
