Legion Of Mary At Saint Jude's

In September 1969 a new Praesidium, of The Legion of Mary, was formed at St. Jude the Apostle Church of Sandy Springs.

This Praesidium, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, has 14 members who offer their services to their pastor to aid him in performing spiritual work in the Parish. This group works in conjunction with the Women’s Club of St. Jude.

Meetings are held weekly under the spiritual direction of Father John C. Kieran and Legionaries perform apostolic work in the parish which includes: visits to shut-ins; assisting at Day Care Center, under the auspices of the E.O.A., in Roswell; weekly home blessing and census with parish; special Masses attended; assisting in sacristy; visits to Great Oaks Nursing Home and participation in Red Cross Program; work in C.C.D. program; help with the annual bishops Thanksgiving clothing drive in the diocese; work on cancer pads for Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cancer Home in Atlanta.
