Austell Church To Move

The parish council at St. John Vianney has voted to move the location of the church to its Lithia Springs property.

With approximately 200 families in the parish, it was necessary to take steps toward a larger place. The parish is startling a new tithing program to support the church.

Father William Hoffman is beginning a series of recorded talks on “The Family” around the parish. Several couples will act as host-couples and have the sessions in their homes.

About 145 children go to the kindergarten through sixth grade, CCD classes and several adults attend the CCD training program at Smyrna. An adult discussion group meets each Sunday morning during the CCD period.

Several parish members are active in the Community Action work in the Austell community, helping the underprivileged.

During the month of November, the 11 a.m. Mass will be aired on WDGL Radio in Douglasville in cooperation with the Douglas County Ministerial Association.
