Father Roshetko Leaves Our Lady of Assumption

Father Thomas J. Roshetko, former pastor of Our Lady of Assumption Parish, is now assisting at a Marist parish in Brunswick and will later assume duties in the New Orleans area.

He was honored at a reception by the parish council July 13. He completed 10 years of work in the archdiocese, serving as pastor of Sacred Heart before the Marist fathers were switched to Our Lady of Assumption.

Visiting with him at the reception were his sisters Benevieve Roshetko and Mrs. Harold Hill; his brother and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Roshetko, and their seven children; sister-in-law, Mrs. Patrick Roshetko, and his niece and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Tylka.

Julius Jaeger, chairman of the finance committee, was master of ceremonies and Msgr. Michael Manning, archdiocesan vicar general, spoke.

Father Roshetko, 57, also has served as a member of the priests senate, parochial consultor, priest secretary of the archdiocesan board of lay organizations, and as pro-synodal judge.

The Third Order of Mary, now consisting of four fraternities in the Atlanta area, has been enlarged through the help of the Cleveland, Ohio native.
