Parents Receive Medals Of Son Killed In Vietnam

HQ, THIRD U.S. ARMY, Ft. McPherson, Ga., Feb. 12 – The parents of an Atlanta soldier who died in Vietnam last October received the Bronze Star Medal and several other posthumous decorations for their son in a ceremony at their home recently.

Mr. and Mrs. George J. Biddulph of Atlanta, Georgia, were presented the decorations for their only son, the late 1st Lieutenant Thomas A. Biddulph, by Captain Matthew J. Crane, a Third U.S. Army Survivor Assistance Officer.

Lieutenant Biddulph, who received his B.A. degree in history from Georgia State College in 1967, earned the Bronze Star by distinguishing himself through outstanding meritorious service in the Republic of Vietnam. He was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds received in action October 27, 1968.

After finishing St. Anthony’s Grammar School in Atlanta, Lieutenant Biddulph attended Marist High School from which he graduated in 1963.

While at Georgia State College, Lieutenant Biddulph was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity.
