George Rowe To Be Ordained Dec. 16

George Rowe of the Marist Fathers will be ordained to the priesthood on Saturday, Dec. 16 at noon at Our Lady of the Assumption Church.

Father Rowe will offer his first Mass of concelebration at Our Lady of the Assumption, at 12:45., Sunday Dec. 17.

Father Rowe, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George J. Rowe is a native of Atlanta. In Atlanta he attended St. Anthony’s Elementary School and Marist College before entering the seminary.

While in the seminary Father Rowe attended St. Mary’s Manor, Penndel, Pa. and then took his novitiate at Staten Island and Rhinebeck, N.Y. where he was professed into the Society of Mary.

He continued his studies at Catholic University, Washington, D.C. where he received a B.A. degree in philosophy. Father Rowe also studied theology at Marist College and St. Paul’s College in Washington, D.C. At present he is completing his M.A. degree in counseling at Catholic University, Washington, D.C.
