New Priests For Atlanta Area

Five young men will become priests this month and begin their vocations in the Atlanta Archdiocese. They are Fathers Edward J. Dillon, Peter Ludden, John Kieran, Leo Hubert, and Paul Fogarty. Dillon is from County Carlow, Ireland, a graduate of St. Patrick College, County Carlow and will be ordained June 10 at The Cathedral of the Assumption, Carlow. Ludden was born in Dublin, Ireland, completed his theological studies at St. Patrick and will be ordained also on June 10 in Carlow. Kieran was born in County Louth, completed his theology at All Hallows College, Dublin, and will be ordained there on June 18. Herbert was born at Enniskillen, educated at St. Patrick, and will be ordained at All Hallows on June 18. Fogarty completed his studies at St. Patrick College and will be ordained June 10. Their assignments in the archdiocese are, Father Dillon, assistant pastor, St. Anthony Parish; Father Ludden, assistant pastor, Holy Cross Parish, Chamblee; Father Kieran, assistant pastor, St. Jude Parish, Sandy Springs; Father Herbert, assistant pastor, St. Joseph Parish, Athens, and Father Fogarty, assistant pastor, Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, Atlanta. The assignments are effective Aug. 5.
