12 Priests Given Posts

Twelve priests have been elected archdiocesan officers by the recently completed Archdiocesan Synod.

Named synodal judges to assist the tribunal in judicial process were Msgr. Michael Regan, Fathers Thomas Roshetko, S.M., James Harrison and Daniel J. O’Connor.

Serving as synodal examiners to assist the archdiocese in certain matters of administrative procedures are Fathers Michael Manning, John Stapleton, Walter Donovan, and Eusebius J. Beltran. Fathers Roshetko, R. Donald Kiernan, Dale Freeman and Paul Kelley will serve as parochial consultors to assist parishes in certain administrative procedures.

The terms begin for these positions with the promulgation of the decree of the synod Dec. 8.

The nominations for the judges were proposed by Father Beltran, the officialis, and they were unanimously elected by the presbytery of the synod. Msgr. Regan and Father Roshetko have already served one term.
