Archbishop Paul J. Hallinan, of Atlanta, W. A. Pulver, President
of Lockheed Georgia Company, and Morton L. Weiss, President of Montag, Inc.
will be the recipients of the National Conference of Christians and Jews
Silver Medallions for extraordinary service in the field of human relations.
The awards will be presented at the annual Brotherhood Awards
Dinner at the Dinkler Hotel in Atlanta, at 7:00 p.m. next Wednesday, (May 26).
Dr. Arthur Larson, former special assistant to President
Eisenhower and one-time director of the United States Information Agency, will
be the featured speaker at the banquet. Larson is currently the director of the
Rule of Law Research Center and Duke University and is an advisor to the State
Department on foreign policy and United Nations affairs.
Eighty-five prominent Atlantans are serving on the Sponsors
Committee planning the tribute to the three honorees. James R. Golden, director
of Governmental and Civic Affairs for the Ford Motor Company is serving as
chairman.
The dinner will be $50 per plate with proceeds going to the
program of the National Conference of Christians and Jews in Georgia.
