Qualified candidates must possess proven skills in planning, analysis, and financial control, attention to detail, supervision and communication are essential to successful performance. This individual must possess a high level of management and fiscal expertise, be able to take direction from multiple staff members, maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding all matters and have flexibility in work schedule to be successful in this assignment. Under direction of the Director of the Office of Archives and Records, the Staff Archivist collects, preserves, and makes available the permanent and official records of the Archdiocese of Atlanta, its people, institutions, and associations. Experience processing archival materials and records is required, as well as experience with collection management systems, such as Archon or Archivists’ Toolkit. Computer proficiency with a working knowledge of Microsoft applications, database management, and scanning is also required. Prefer experience managing and preserving digital records. Must be able to reach objects in high places and lift a box of 45 pounds. Excellent interpersonal communication skills are essential to serve diverse clientele.
