Douglasville Parish To Hold Fall Festival, Feast Day Mass

Published September 15, 2011

On Saturday, the festivities will begin at 11 a.m. and continue through

5 p.m. and will feature a children’s area with a trackless train ride, giant slide, large inflatable bouncer, six games in one booth (soccer, baseball, basketball, darts, frisbee, football), carnival games and more.

Food tents will offer a variety of selections from vendors and the church’s diverse parishioners. The cakewalk will provide the opportunity to win one of 20 delectable cakes, and shopping for unique items will be available at various arts and crafts and vendor booths.

There will be a silent auction with a wide array of sponsor-donated items, including a handyman auction with the chance to get professional help with home repair projects.

The festival concludes Sunday, Oct. 2, at 10 a.m., with a community-wide Mass in honor of the parish patroness, St. Therese of Lisieux, which will be held offsite at 2640 Jason Industrial Drive in Winston.

The all-day child’s fun pass for Saturday is $7.50. Carnival games are $.50 per ticket. The tickets for the cakewalk are $2.00 each play. Food booth selections are individually priced. Onsite premium parking is available (on a first-come-first-served basis), plus offsite free parking with a shuttle will be provided.

St. Theresa Church is located at 4401 Prestley Mill Road, Douglasville.
